We found a few websites that published articles reporting about the dubious messages posted on social media which claimed that Jio was offering a 25GB free data plan during the COVID-19 lockdown. Such messages are fraudulent, the report said.

Meanwhile, Jio Care tweeted that Jio does not send such free data plan messages to its customers and that all the information related to that provided by Jio was available on their app 'MyJio'.
