The conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States has intensified sharply, with both sides carrying out a series of military strikes that have heightened tensions across the Middle East. The war began after a coordinated U.S.–Israeli military operation against Iran on February 28, 2026, targeting Iranian military infrastructure, missile facilities, and key strategic sites in several cities including Tehran. During the initial wave of attacks, several high-ranking Iranian officials, including the Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were killed, triggering a major political and military response from Tehran. In retaliation, Iran launched missile and drone attacks on Israel and U.S. military facilities across the Middle East, targeting bases and strategic locations in countries such as Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The conflict has since expanded beyond the immediate battlefield, affecting regional security, global oil markets, and international shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, a video claiming to show the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu engulfed in flames has gone viral on social media. While sharing the clip, an account on X captioned it, “Netanyahu’s house is on fire.” Here's the screenshot of the claim

Fact Check:

The video claiming that Netanyahu’s home is on fire is false. the footage is actually from New Jersey, USA.

To verify the claim, we ran a reverse image search of keyframes from the video which led us to the same footage shared by a photography account on Facebook on 2026 February 9. The account stated that the video was from Galloway, New Jersey, and identified itself as the “Atlantic County Firefighters’ Association Photographer.” Atlantic County is located in the US state of New Jersey.

On further search, we also found a screenshot from the video in a report published on 2026 February 10 by a New Jersey-based news outlet, BreakingAC. According to the report, a fire broke out at a home in Galloway Township on the night of February 8. Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control. The report added that no injuries were reported and that officials were investigating the cause of the fire.

Using these hints, we geolocated the house. A comparison between the viral video and images of the location on Google Street View shows that they match the same building.

For further verification, we conducted a keyword search to check whether Netanyahu’s house had been attacked, but found no credible reports supporting the claim.

Thus, it is clear that the viral video does not show Netanyahu’s house on fire.
