Fact Check:

The claim is misleading. The video is not from Uttar Pradesh. It is from Nalgonda in Telangana, where a man named Kaleem Uddin raised derogatory slogans during a rally against suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh in August 2022. News reports and verification using Google Street View confirm that the footage is from Telangana.

To verify the claim, we searched the internet using relevant keywords but did not find any reports published by prominent media outlets. If such an incident had occurred in Uttar Pradesh, it would likely have been widely reported by major news organisations.

As part of further investigation, we contacted an independent journalist from Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Yogesh Tiwari. He stated that the video is either old or not from Uttar Pradesh, adding that any such incident in the state would have been covered by local and national media.

To verify the claim, We also searched using keywords related to the viral post, which led us to several news reports from Telangana.

While publishing an article on 11 October, The Hindu mentioned that a post claiming to show protesters raising inflammatory slogans against the RSS in Uttar Pradesh, followed by swift action by the State government, has gone viral on social media. The Facebook post features two videos shown side by side—one allegedly showing protesters chanting provocative slogans against the Hindu organisation, and the other showing police taking action. The post suggests that the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh acted quickly against the protesters.

According to an ANI report dated August 23, 2022, during a rally in Nalgonda against suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh, a man identified as Kaleem Uddin raised derogatory slogans against the RSS. Nalgonda Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari confirmed that the accused was identified and arrested, and that a case was registered under Sections 153, 295(A), and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

We also found that Factly has already debunked and published that the viral video of a man making derogatory slogans against the RSS is not from Uttar Pradesh; it is from Telangana.
