Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visited Osmania University on August 25, 2025 and delivered a powerful speech. He is the first Chief minister in the last 20 years to enter the OU campus. During his visit, Revanth inaugurated two new hostels built at a cost of 80 crore rupees, providing accommodation for 1200 students. He also laid the foundation stone for two more hostels that will house another 300 students. He is the first chief minister of Telangana to directly address the university, unlike former CM KCR, who attempted to do so in 2017 but backed off due to student criticism.Osmania University students played a historic role in spearheading the Telangana statehood movement, even sacrificing their lives and careers for the cause.

The video is shared with caption in telugu “నోటి దూల మానవా రేవంత్. రెడ్డి దొరలు పాలన చేయాలా రేవంత్”, when translated claims “Cant you keep your mouth in control? Should only Reddy’s rule?”

The claim is Misleading. The CM was criticising the previous government for wanting people not to change. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s visit to Osmania University has received wide coverage in the media, as he is the first Chief minister in the last 20 years to enter the OU campus.
According to ETV Bharat, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday delivered a fierce speech at Osmania University (OU), making him the first CM to speak at the institution since the formation of the state. He made several promises and political remarks, besides calling for youth empowerment. Reddy assured students that their concerns would be addressed without hesitation. He also promised to develop Osmania University to the level of the University of Oxford, London. “I am ready to develop Osmania University to the level of Oxford. Prepare necessary plans to provide all facilities. Form a committee with experts for this and provide funds,” he said. CM criticised previous governments for weakening the OU in a “conspiratorial manner” and warned against the rising menace of drugs. “Schools and colleges are being harassed by marijuana. Ganja and drugs have spread in society,” he warned.
When we searched for the related videos of the speech made by Revanth Reddy at Osmania University, we found a youtube video live streamed by Zee Telugu News on August 25, 2025 where we can see the viral part at 1hour 21 mins, where he can be heard talking about the leaders of the previous government and stating that they donot want to see development of the common people. In the video, he states that Congress government made a dalit Vice chancellor of Osmania University, which was not done by the previous government, which the previous government did not bother to do. After the viral statement, he can be heard stating others expect his , but he is not like that.
