One such claim involves a video featuring RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon.
The video, widely shared on platforms like X and Facebook, alleges that Raveena Tandon will formally campaign for Tejashwi Yadav in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The claim is misleading. A careful examination revealed that the viral video is not recent and has no connection with the Bihar elections. The footage actually dates back to November 2024, when Tejashwi Yadav met Raveena Tandon at Deoghar Airport in Jharkhand. Reports indicate that the actress was in Deoghar to visit the Baidyanath Temple. The video captures only a brief exchange of greetings between the two and does not show or imply any political collaboration.
When we conducted a customised keyword search on Google to check if any credible news reports or official social media statements confirmed that Raveena Tandon would campaign for Tejashwi Yadav in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The search, however, yielded no reliable results. Given the public stature of both Tejashwi Yadav and Raveena Tandon, any such announcement would have received significant coverage in mainstream media.
We also reviewed the recent social media posts of both Raveena Tandon and Tejashwi Yadav. Neither of them has posted content suggesting any kind of political partnership or campaign-related activity. While we could not independently verify whether Raveena Tandon has any future plans to join political campaigning, we found no credible evidence to support the viral claim.
