The claim is false.

A reverse image search of key frames from the video led to a report by auto evolution, dated August 17, 2021, titled ‘Ilyushin Military Plane Crashes in Russia, the Tragic Moment Was Captured on Camera.’

The report shows screengrabs from the viral video and states that the plane depicted in the video is an Ilyushin Il-112V prototype military transporter that crashed in a forest near the Kubinka airfield in Russia. The plane was being developed by the Russian aerospace company United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and was intended to replace the Antonov An-26 aircraft.

A keyword search for “ilyushin il-112v,” “crash” & “Russia” on YouTube led to a video uploaded on the official channel of CNN-News 18 on August 17, 2021. The video shows snippets from the viral video and states that a military plane crashed in Moscow earlier that morning. Russian media reported that three people were on board, all of whom died in the crash.

Multiple news outlets have reported on the incident and have confirmed that the plane was an Ilyushin Il-112V prototype military transporter that was under development by the Russian aerospace company United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and that the crash occurred near the Kubinka airfield in Russia, and three people were on board, all of whom were killed in the incident.
