Viral video claiming to show Hamas fighters entering Israel in parachutes is actually shot in Egypt
Amid the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine, a video showing several parachutes landing on a building is viral on social media with the claim that it shows Hamas fighters entering Israel.
The video is shared with the caption, “Palestinian Freedom Fighters seen parachuting down into Israel Territory”.
FACT CHECK:
A reply on a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) stated that this video shows Egyptian Military Training Academy.
We then, via Google Lens, translated the words written on the building entrance. It reads, "Military College".
Using Google Maps, we noticed that the Military Training Academy In Egypt matches the one seen in the viral video.
While we haven't been able to independently verify the context of the video, it is evident that it is not from Israel. Clearly, a video from Egypt is being falsely shared as Hamas militants entering Israel wearing parachutes.
