An article posted by website ‘Big24’ is going viral. The article's headline reads: "Bachchan family in tears as Amitabh Bachchan's health takes a serious turn." The news includes a photograph of a visibly unwell Amitabh Bachchan, accompanied by a somber image of his son Abhishek Bachchan causing distress to everyone.

Upon reading the article, a notable statement in the second paragraph caught our attention: "In a significant development, Abhishek Bachchan seems to have lost hope in his father's survival, as the assigned doctors themselves are no longer confident or hopeful."

In the fourth paragraph, it was mentioned, "The incident occurred during a film shoot, where Amitabh Bachchan experienced a stroke, leading to his hospitalization. Even the attending physicians had abandoned hope of his recovery."

Fact Check:

The claim is misleading.

Upon thorough investigation, we could find that there were no reports on any reputable news portal regarding Amitabh Bachchan's illness or hospitalisation. If the information about Amitabh falling ill four days ago were accurate, it would have undoubtedly garnered widespread coverage across news channels, newspapers, and websites throughout the country. However, we found no evidence of such news anywhere.

Subsequently, we conducted a thorough search into the origins of both photographs featured in this news. Using Google Lens for a reverse search on the thumbnail image from the news article, we found a YouTube video featuring the trailer of Abhishek Bachchan's movie 'Dasvi.' Notably, the thumbnail of this trailer displayed the identical photo used in the viral news article thumbnail.

Upon conducting a reverse search on Amitabh Bachchan's image on Google, it was found that the picture originated from Times of India news article dated November 29, 2005. The headline of this article reads - Big B gets stomach ache.

The images published in this report match with those circulated in the viral news. Consequently, it was established that the photo of Amitabh Bachchan shared in the viral news dates back to 2005, during an episode when he experienced stomach pain.

Hence, the viral news is completely misleading, and the information given in it has no authenticity. Also, the pictures used in it are old.
