The claim is false. The video in circulation is AI-generated.
Firstly, when we searched for any updates and news about a collapse or damage in a Delhi metro station recently, we did not find any such report published. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s social media handles also did not show any information about any such incident. The latest tweet published on the DMRC X handle is about the Swachh Bharat Mission. Here is the tweet:
When we watched the video carefully, we found some anomalies in the video. We observed distortions in the body of a woman getting down the steps as the incident happens. Here are the screenshots showing the distortions.
We used the Cantilux tool to check if the video is generated using AI technology. We found that the video is indeed AI generated. The tool analysed the video on many levels. It checked the pattern analysis, texture and artifact detection of the video. After all the investigations, the tool confirmed that the video was made using AI.
