The claim that the ad was released by "The Soda Pop Board of America" in Chicago is FALSE. It is a satirical creation.

Telugu Post performed several keyword searches on Google and did not find any official reports about the "The Soda Pop Board of America". According to foodpolitics.com, Prof. Marion Nestle , in his book 'Taking on Big Soda' explains that there is no such organization in Chicago, USA and the ad is a hoax.

A reverse image search of the image led to the blog named The City Desk, where the blogger explains that "he made the fake ad exhorting parents to give soda to their babies." The blogger also adds at the end that there was never a Soda Pop Board of America. There was never an organization advocating soda for babies.

According to experts, soda has too much sugar and also caffeine, which is harmful to babies. It also has lot of calories which can increase the threat of obesity when taken regularly by children. Soda also poses risk of dental problems among children.

So, giving soda is NOT good for babies.
