Fact Check:

The claim is misleading. The woman officer seen in the video is the vice chairman of the District Development Council in Kishtwar, Jammu.

When we observed the video carefully, we could see the word ‘Kishtwar’ on the 77th Independence Day banner and ‘Chowgan ground, Kishtwar’. So, we used the keywords ‘77th Independence Day, Kishtwar’ and performed a Google reverse image search using the key frames extracted from the video.

We found a Facebook video published on August 15, 2023, with the caption “VC DDC Kishtwar Saima Parveen inspect parade, hoist National flag on the ever of 77th Independence Day”.
