Fact Check:

The claim is misleading. Though a lot of crops were damaged in Telangana due to untimely rains, the video seen is not original, it is part of a short film published on YouTube.

The viral video was shared by several persons in November 2021, but when Revanth Reddy, Telangana Congress leader posted the images of him visiting the farmers who lost their crops due to rains in November 2021 on Twitter, a person named Pasula Sudhakar shared a YouTube video named ‘Raitanna Shokam’.

When we clicked on the YouTube link, we found the short film published in April 2020 by the YouTube channel named PS Creations. The title of the video is “Pasula Sudhakar II Raithanna Shokam II emotional short film”. The title clearly mentions that the video posted is a short film.

The claim was also debunked by Fact Check Telangana.

Hence, the video shared is part of a short film published on a YouTube channel 3 years ago and does not show farmers suffering loss due to recent rains in Telangana. The claim is misleading.
