A screenshot of a tweet supposed to be tweeted by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is being shared virally on social media. The screenshot shows a tweet in Hindi, states "ED wants me to bend to their wishes, but I am not going to bend. I know what they want to do" with a hashtag #mainjhukegenahi. The timestamp of the screenshot shows Jun 16, 2022.

Enforcement Directorate has questioned Rahul Gandhi for more than 30 hours past week. Relating to these events, the screenshot has been shared satirically as Rahul Gandhi is been questioned by ED about the National Herald case.

Fact Check:

The claim that the viral screenshot shows original tweet made by Rahul Gandhi is FALSE.

Firstly, when searched for the viral tweet on Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account, we coulg not find any such tweet made by Rahul Gandhi on June 16, 2022. There is only one tweet made by Rahul Gandhi on June 16, 2022.

Here is the archive of Twitter account of Rahul Gandhi archived on June 17, 2022.

We can see that there is no such tweet on his original twitter account.

Most of Rahul Gandhi's tweets were tweeted from IPhone throughout last month. The viral image shows that the tweet was done from an android phone.

When we compare the viral image to the original tweets, we observed few descrepancies in the pattern of the tweet. Firstly, when tweets are in languages other than English, there is always an option 'Translate Tweet', which cannot be seen on the viral image.


Therefore, the viral screenshot is a fake one and claim that it shows an original tweet made by Rahul Gandhi is FALSE.
