Fact check:

The claim is a scam. Tanishq is not giving away any such gifts on the occasion of Women’s Day.

Telugupost observed that the link shared on WhatsApp and other social media is different from one another and when clicked, another website link appears.

After answering all the questions in the questionnaire, there appears another link asking the user to share it further with WhatsApp users and groups, which is fishy.

When we searched for such offers on the website of Tanishq Jewellery and their social media accounts, no such promotions could be found.

When we searched further, we found a Twitter user questioned about the veracity of a similar link that was viral on WhatsApp during Valentines Day and Tanishq clarified that it was not issued by their brand.

Their reply states: “Unfortunately, there have been fake communication regarding Tanishq's Valentine's day gift none of which has been issued by the brand Tanishq. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and working on resolving this at the earliest.”

When we checked the domain details on the who-is database, it revealed that the domain is not registered by Tanishq. It was registered by Fu Jain, China.

Therefore, the Tanishq logo is being impersonated and the link leads to a clickbait website which may contain malware and may lead to hacking of the devices. So, it is advised not to click on these links. The claim is a scam.
