Fact Check: India-Pak Tensions: Fake Govt. Advisory Urging People to Stock Up and Keep ₹50K Goes Viral
The claim is false. No such advisory has been released by the government amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions.
In a significant joint operation, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force carried out coordinated precision strikes at 1:44 am last night on terror facilities located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. This action was undertaken as a response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which resulted in the tragic loss of 26 civilian lives. India struck nine identified sites across Pakistan and PoK that were allegedly being used to coordinate and launch terrorist operations. The mission, titled 'Operation Sindoor', was named in honor of the women who lost their spouses in the Pahalgam incident.
In light of heightened tensions with Pakistan, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has instructed several states to conduct mock drills on May 7. These exercises will include the use of air-raid sirens and training civilians in civil defense protocols to prepare for potential hostile scenarios. Scheduled across 244 designated civil defense districts, the drills will cover blackout procedures, rapid camouflage of key infrastructure, and updated evacuation plans.
