Jr NTR viral video fact check,

Anantapur TDP legislator Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad has landed in a controversy after alleged audio tapes surfaced in which he reportedly made derogatory comments against Tollywood actor Jr NTR. Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad, Anantapur Urban TDP MLA, has allegedly made comments demanding that Jr NTR’s film War 2 not be screened in Anantapur without his permission. The remarks, which reportedly accused Jr NTR of insulting Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and HRD Minister Lokesh, went viral on social media after being recorded, and circulated by Dhanunjaya Naidu, a leader of NTR Fans Association. The audio went viral on various social media platforms, receiving severe backlash from the actors fans. In response, outraged NTR fans and association leaders staged a protest at the MLA’s office, where they tore down his flex banners.

Amidst this controversy, a video began circulating with the claim that Junior NTR has retaliated to the comments made by the TDP MLA. In the viral video, we can see Jr NTR talking emotionally about respecting women and not commenting them. He says that in politics, it is quite common to face criticisms and then retaliate to those criticisms, but these comments should be related to public issues but should not be personal.

We also came across a report on the TV9 Telugu website, which confirms that the video was released by Jr NTR in 2021 after the then ruling YSRCP made derogatory remarks against Nara Bhuvaneshwari, wife of TDP chief and current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. In his statement, Jr NTR stressed that criticism and counter-criticism are part of politics, but personal abuse has no place in democratic debate. He described the incident in the Assembly as atrocious and said that respecting women is deeply rooted in our culture and tradition.

NTR clarified that he was not speaking merely as a family member, but as a son, father, husband, and responsible citizen of the country—especially as a Telugu man. He appealed to society to put an end to such anarchic practices and instead focus on addressing people’s real problems. Highlighting the importance of setting an example for the younger generation, Jr NTR urged that this toxic culture should stop here and now.

According to The News Minute, Jr NTR released this video a day after TDP President Chandrababu Naidu broke down while addressing the media about the humiliation that he said he was subjected to by the ruling YSRCP. Actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as Jr NTR, took to Twitter to condemn the abusive comments by the ruling party. In the video that he posted on Saturday, November 20, the actor said that politics should be limited to public issues and that personal matters should not be involved.

We also found the original video shared by Jr NTR on his Twitter account on November 20, 2021.

Therefore, the viral video is an old one and is not related to the recent comments allegedly made by TDP MLA Daggubati Venkateshwara Prasad.
