As the Bihar Assembly elections draw closer, the state’s political atmosphere is heating up. The ruling Janata Dal (United)–Bharatiya Janata Party (JD(U)–BJP) alliance led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is highlighting development, infrastructure, and law and order as its key achievements. Meanwhile, the Opposition — comprising the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties — is focusing on unemployment, inflation, and government scheme implementation to gain public support.
Amid this political activity, social media has become a key battleground. Supporters of various parties are sharing videos, images, and posts to bolster their narratives. Among these, a video claiming to show people entering the newly launched Patna Metro without tickets has gone viral.
The footage shows several individuals ducking under turnstiles to enter a metro station, with captions alleging mismanagement in Patna Metro operations.

In its post, PMRCL wrote, “This is Bihar’s pride, not gossip! See the safety, cleanliness, and comfort provided by Patna Metro — tickets at counters, smooth entry through AFC gates, and comfortable travel for families. Do not believe fake viral videos — believe what you truly see here! A video circulating on social media claims that passengers are travelling in the Patna Metro without tickets by crossing the AFC gates. This claim is false. The video does not belong to any Patna Metro station. No such incident has occurred at Patna Metro. Patna Metro operates under strict safety and ticketing norms.
