Fact Check: FAKE V6 Velugu Clip, Komatireddy did not say Congress will lose Jubilee Hills

A record 58 candidates are contesting the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, prompting four ballot units per booth. The Jubilee Hills by-elections were caused by the death of the BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June 2025 due to a heart attack. It is turning out to be a crucial contest of 2025. The last date for the withdrawal of nominations was October 24, 2025. 58 candidates are in the contest, after 23 candidates withdrew their nominations. Symbols like baby walker, CCTV camera have been chosen by the independent candidates contesting in the bypolls. The key battle features Congress, BRS, and BJP.

As per the final electoral rolls released two days ago, the constituency has a total of 4,01,365 voters. They include 2,08,561 men, 1,92,779 women. Around 2,383 new voters were enrolled after the election notification was issued.

Meanwhile, an e-paper clipping is in circulation on social media platform with the claim that Congress leader Komatireddy RajGopal Reddy commented that Congress is not going to win in Jubilee hills by elections.

The claim is False. Congress leader Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy did not make any such comments.

When we observed the e-paper clipping carefully, we found the e-paper clipping states Prabhata Velugu with the Velugu logo and the URL https://epaper/v6velugu.com/c, which, when clicked, did not lead to any website link. The link led to a 404 error. The date on the epaper clipping can be seen as October 25, 2025.

We checked the epaper resembling the viral epaper clipping, and we found V6 Prabhat Velugu published online by V6 News. We searched the V6 Prabhat Velugu e-paper published on 25th October 2025; we did not find the viral clipping anywhere.

When we compared the viral epaper clipping with the epaper clipping published by V6 Velugu, we found some discrepancies in the viral image. The original epaper clipping does not mention Prabhat Velugu on the clipping, but mentions Velugu. The URL link on the template ends with a number, which leads to an online article. Ex., https://epaper.v6velugu.com/c/78408138.

Here is the comparison of the viral image with the clipping from the V6 Velugu epaper clipping published on 25th October 2025.

When we searched for any such posts published on social media handles of Komati Reddy Rajgopal Reddy, we did not find any such posts published on social media. The last post published on his official X account was on October 14, 2025.

We also searched for posts on Prabhatha Velugu, we did not find any such comment published either on the V6 prabhata velugu epaper, Website, or their social media handles.

Therefore, the viral image looking like an epaper clipping published by Velugu is a fabricated one. The claim that Komatireddy Rajgopal reddy commented that Congress cannot win the elections is False.
