The upcoming by-election for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency in Telangana, scheduled for November 11, 2025, with counting on November 14, was necessitated by the death of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Maganti Gopinath in June 2025. Meanwhile, a video showing Former MP K Kavitha walking along with the Congress Jubilee Hills MLA candidate Naveen Yadav is going viral on social media platforms with the claim that she is supporting the Congress candidate in the Jubilee Hills bypolls.
We can see several people walking behind the two leaders. This video was shared by Maha News with the caption “Kalvakuntla Kavita garu will be in favour of Naveen Yadav |Viral.”

Fact check:
The claim is False. The video is an old one and is not related to the Jubilee Hills bypolls.
When we extracted the keyframes from the viral video and searched them using reverse image search, we found a social media post by Telangana Jagruthi President J Ramu Yadav with the hashtags #boss @kavitha_kalvakuntla @vnaveenyadav # @j.ramu_yadav on June 1, 2025.
We also found another video published by the same Facebook user on May 30, 2025, showing K Kavitha travelling along with others in a car. She can be seen wearing the same saree as in the viral video.
Upon further research, we found another post published by X account Kalvakuntla Kavitha Office, stating that she attended the marriage of an employee working for her in Mancherial. The caption on the video states “మంచిర్యాలలో జరిగిన తన కార్యాలయ ఉద్యోగి జిల్లు ప్రవీణ్ యాదవ్ వివాహానికి హాజరై వధూవరులను ఆశీర్వదించిన ఎమ్మెల్సీ శ్రీమతి @RaoKavitha”
When we searched for any recent statements by K Kavitha, we found a video published by V6 News Telugu on October 16, 2025. The video shows a press conference where she announced a four-month-long statewide tour called “Jagruthi Janam Baata”. The tour, scheduled to run from October 25, 2025, to February 13, 2026, will see Kavitha spend two days in each of Telangana's 32 districts.
In the same press conference, she stated that the Jubilee Hills bypolls are a minimal issue for Telangana Jagruthi; we want the whole of Telangana. We can see this statement at 2.41 minutes.
We also found another video published by a YouTube channel named SLN News, showing Kavitah visiting Mancherial District on May 31, 2025. We can see her wearing the same saree seen in the viral video.
Hence, the viral video in circulation with the claim that Former MP Kavitha with Congress Jubilee Hills candidate Naveen Yadav supporting him for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Bypoll is an old one. The claim is False.
