A video claiming to show an Indian yogi lifting 130 kilograms in a gym using only the power of his mind is going viral on social media. In the widely shared footage, the yogi is seen sitting calmly on a gym platform while a heavy weight, reportedly more than 130 kg, appears to rise effortlessly into the air. The posts accompanying the video claim that the weight is being lifted solely through the yogi’s mind.
With powerful AI models now capable of producing hyper-realistic videos, audio, images, and text within seconds, misleading or entirely fabricated content spreads across social media faster than ever before. These AI-generated posts designed to mimic real events or credible personalities often appear highly authentic, making it difficult for users to distinguish fact from fabrication.

Fact Check:
The claim that a yogi lifted 130 kilograms in a gym using mind power is false. The video was found to be AI-generated, not real.
To verify the authenticity of the footage, we conducted a reverse image search using Google Lens on keyframes from the viral video. This revealed several similar videos circulating online with identical claims. One such video, posted on December 2, 2025, on the Facebook page Desi Kalakaari, carried the same description: “Indian yogi lifting 130 kg in the gym using the power of his mind!”
Another video on the same page claimed that an “Indian Baba Ji lifted 150 kg in the gym without using his hands.” It is found that the post is similar to the viral video. The archive of this post is here. It became evident that the Facebook page regularly creates and shares digitally generated video. A closer look at the Facebook page showed that it regularly posts entertainment videos created using artificial intelligence, a detail explicitly mentioned by the account owner in the bio.
In addition to the reverse image search, the viral video was analysed using Hive moderation, a tool to detect AI-generated video. According to Hive Moderation's assessment, the clip is 94% AI-generated.
The viral video claiming that a yogi lifted 130 kilograms using the power of his mind is baseless. Evidence confirms that the video was created using artificial intelligence and does not depict a real incident.
