Fact Check: Dr Zakir Naik did not deliver speech during FIFA inauguration; his video is from 2016
After finding Dr Naik at Qatar on the day of FIFA inauguration, a video of the Indian Islamic Televangelist and public orator giving a speech is in circulation with the claim that he rendered the Islamist speech during his recent visit to Qatar on the occasion of FIFA World Cup 2022.
Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik, who faces charges of money laundering and hate speech in India, attended the FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony. His presence at the World Cup made everyone criticise the Qatari government.
After finding Dr Naik at Qatar on the day of FIFA inauguration, a video of the Indian Islamic Televangelist and public orator giving a speech is in circulation with the claim that he rendered the Islamist speech during his recent visit to Qatar on the occasion of FIFA World Cup 2022.
In the video, he can be seen debating with a woman in the audience about Jesus and Bible.

The claim that the video is recent is FALSE. The video is an old one dating back to 2016.
When the key frames extracted from the video were used to perform Google reverse image search, we found that the video was indeed from Qatar but was shot in 2016.
The viral video was posted on a YouTube channel named Cric fast on June 4, 2016, with the title Dr. Zakir Naik in Qatar.
When we searched with the keywords Zakir Naik in Qatar, we found another video titled Does God (creator) exist? - Dr. Zakir Naik in Qatar.
We also found a Facebook message by Zakir Naik about the tour in Qatar posted on May 26, 2016.
Hence, an old video of Zakir Naik during his Qatar tour in 2016 is being shared as a recent one. The claim is FALSE.
