Claim :
A video shows a lion entering an under-construction building in Gujarat and sniffing sleeping workersFact :
The claim is false. The video is AI-generated
In recent years, social media platforms have seen a surge in AI-generated videos that blur the line between reality and fiction. With advanced tools now widely accessible, users can create hyper-realistic videos featuring animals, people, or events that never actually happened. While these videos often go viral for their visual appeal or shock value, they also pose a serious challenge to online truth and accountability.
One recent example includes a video showing a lion walking into a building and sniffing sleeping workers — which turned out to be entirely AI-generated. Such content, when shared without context, can mislead viewers and create unnecessary panic or spread misinformation.
It’s becoming increasingly important for users to critically evaluate content before sharing it. Platforms and fact-checkers are now working to identify and label AI-generated content, but public awareness remains the key defense against digital misinformation in the age of artificial intelligence.
Amid this, a video is going viral on social media showing a lion entering an under-construction building and climbing to the top, where a few workers are seen sleeping. The lion appears to sniff and lick them, after which they wake up and run away in panic. The video is being shared as a real incident that allegedly took place in the Dhari district, Amreli, Gujarat.

Fact Check:
The viral video claiming to show a lion entering an under-construction building and sniffing sleeping workers in Gujarat is not real. It is an AI-generated clip with no evidence or news reports supporting the incident.
While investigating the incident, we found no evidence of any such event occurring in Gujarat recently. Had such an incident taken place, it would likely have been reported by the media.
To verify further, we contacted journalist Brijesh Patel from Gujarat. According to him, "No such incident has happened in Gujarat recently. If it had, we would have definitely reported it."
After carefully watching the video, we found several signs that suggest it’s not real. At times, parts of the lion’s body seem to disappear or look unnatural. In one scene, two lions appear, but one suddenly vanishes. These strange visual effects point towards digital editing or AI generation.
To verify this, we ran the video through the AI-detection tool DeepFake-o-meter. The tool showed a high chance that the video was made using artificial intelligence.
We also noticed a watermark on the video that read “@ataquesferoz.” A keyword search led us to the original post on YouTube by the same username. In the Description, the user clearly mentioned that the video was “AI-generated.” The account has many other videos created using AI.
In short, this video showing a lion entering an under-construction building is not real. It was created with AI.
Previously, another video went viral showing a lion walking down a street, sniffing a man sleeping on the road, and then walking away. Several social media users shared the video with various captions, calling it a miracle. Some even wondered why the lion chose not to attack the sleeping man. However, TeluguPost debunked the claim and confirmed that the video was generated using AI.
Hence, we found the claim is false. The video showing a lion entering an under-construction building is not real. It was created with AI and is being falsely shared as a real event from Gujarat.
