Fact Check:

The claim that the video shows a real bungee jumping accident is false. Our investigation found that the video circulating on social media is not real and has been created using artificial intelligence.

To verify the authenticity of the clip, we first conducted a reverse image search on google lens using multiple keyframes extracted from the viral video. However, the search did not yield any reliable information or news coverage related to a bungee jumping accident in India or elsewhere.

We also searched using relevant keywords associated with the alleged incident, including terms related to bungee jumping accidents and rope failures. We found no credible media reports, official statements, or eyewitness accounts were found to support the claim.

On closer examination, several visual inconsistencies were observed in the video. Many frames displayed jerky movements, unnatural transitions, and missing or distorted details. These irregularities are commonly associated with AI-generated videos and indicate digital manipulation rather than authentic footage. These anomalies raised strong doubts about the authenticity of the video.

To further confirm our findings, we analysed the footage using multiple AI detection tools. The video was examined using Hive Moderation, an AI detection platform, which reported that 83.4 percent of the video content was AI-generated.

In addition, we ran the clip through Site Engine, another AI detection tool, which revealed that the viral video was 98 percent likely created by AI.

The findings clearly establish that the viral video is not based on a real incident. It has been artificially created using AI technology and is being circulated with a false narrative to alarm social media users.
