Bus Stuck On Mira-Bhayandar FlyoverFact :
The claim is false. Viral image is AI generated
Visuals of the flyover constructed in Mira-Bhayandar, Mumbai, as part of the Metro Line project, have sparked discussion. The new flyover was built at a cost of ₹100 crore to ease traffic congestion as part of Mumbai Metro Line 9. However, its design has even led to controversy. The criticism stems from the fact that the four-lane flyover suddenly narrows into two lanes midway. Earlier, a flyover in Bhopal with a 90-degree turn had drawn severe criticism. Issuing an explanation, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) clarified that the current design is not a mistake but is intended for future expansion. According to the plan, the flyover is presently designed as a two-lane road towards Bhayandar East and will later be expanded with an additional two lanes connecting to Bhayandar West. Since the section toward Bhayandar East is being constructed first, the existing four-lane road temporarily narrows to two lanes. The remaining two lanes will be extended across the Western Railway line to Bhayandar West, MMRDA stated in its clarification note.
Meanwhile, an image claiming to show a bus stuck on the Mira-Bhayandar flyover has been circulating on social media. The image was posted on the Congress Kerala X page as well. It was shared with the caption describing the flyover as one that even buses cannot pass through. The post’s caption reads: “A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. A society stalls when they build bridges that even a bus can't fit through. Corruption is a tax on the poor, but incompetence is a tax on everyone.” Here's the screenshot and link of the claims
